About

Erika is a senior lawyer in the GQ Family Law team. Erika specialises in all things family law, including care of children, family violence, guardianship, paternity and relationship property matters.

Erika is a strong advocate in Court and is a lead legal aid provider. She has extensive experience in both the Family and Mental Health Courts. Erika is passionate and dedicated to tailoring her services to reach a positive outcome for her clients. In the past, she has had strong working relationships with Women’s Refuge, Tu Tuki and the Tu Tama Wahine Organisation. She has recently joined the board of Whakarato Whānau Charitable Trust, formerly known as Pregnancy Help Taranaki. Erika was also named a Future Legal Leader by NZ Lawyer in 2026.

Born and bred in Taranaki, Erika has a love for the outdoors, in particular hiking and running. If she’s not out exploring the nature of Taranaki, you can find her spending time with family, sharing a coffee with friends or enjoying her partner’s delicious cooking while watching an episode of Suits.
