Rebecca joined Govett Quilliam in 2016 bringing experience from her time in the Resource Management team at a leading New Zealand law firm. As a Senior Associate, she has built a reputation for her expertise in all aspects of resource management law.
Rebecca’s work spans a broad spectrum of resource management matters, including drafting and advising on district and regional plan provisions and managing resource consent and plan change applications. She has extensive experience with interpreting and providing advice on National Policy Statements, National Environmental Standards, and marine consent applications under the Exclusive Economic Zone legislation. Rebecca frequently appears before councils, the Environment Court and the High Court, and has also appeared before the Court of Appeal and Boards of Inquiry.
When not at work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family at New Plymouth’s parks and beaches and unwinding with a good book. She is the Co-Chair of the RMLA (Association for Resource Management Practitioners) Taranaki Branch, reflecting her leadership in the resource management sector. Rebecca is also a board member of the Cancer Society NZ Taranaki Centre.
