Cameron (Cam) is a specialist corporate and commercial lawyer with expertise in the sale and purchase of businesses, assets and company shares, shareholder arrangements and drafting and reviewing complex commercial agreements. He also advises on commercial leasing, employee share schemes and corporate governance. Having worked in Christchurch in a national corporate team and Auckland in a boutique mergers and acquisitions team and now at Govett Quilliam in Taranaki since 2020, Cam brings extensive experience across a range of industries.
Cam advises clients from large cross-border corporates to start-ups and family-owned businesses, helping them navigate everything from complex transactions to selling shares to the next generation. His unique combination of experience from working in the energy sector for several years prior to becoming a lawyer, experience in legal private practice and building his business acumen through secondment as in-house legal counsel to a large energy corporate client, has matured a first-class ability to listen and understand issues that a client presents and convert complex legal issues into digestible, pragmatic advice.
When not in the office, Cam can be found out on the golf course, perfecting his wood-fired pizzas or spending quality time with his young family.
