Having joined the firm in 2023, Bayley specialises primarily in environment and planning, dispute resolution and Te Tira Hau Ture (Māori legal services) matters as an Associate at GQ.
Having started her career as a Judge’s Clerk, Bayley’s background also includes a general practice role which saw her in the realms of family law, personal planning, commercial, property and other areas of law. Bayley has represented clients in relation to Māori Land Court, District Court, Tenancy Tribunal, Family Court and Court of Appeal cases. Bayley also has assisted with matters related to resource consent applications, private plan changes and district plan reviews, and drafted submissions on central government legislation. Her broad experience and strong research expertise assists Bayley with easily understanding and advising on different legal issues.
Bayley is committed to making a positive impact on her community and preserving our local environment. She actively contributes to the Taranaki Kiwi Trust, having served on the board since 2020 and as board chair since 2023. In addition to her environmental governance work, Bayley participates in local musical theatre productions, showcasing her passion for the arts.
