Annie is an Associate in our Corporate and Commercial Team. She has a range of experience and specialises in handling business transactions, including sales, purchases, company restructuring, and commercial contracts. Annie also specialises in complex succession and estate planning, assisting clients with tailored strategies to protect their assets and ensure smooth transitions.
Annie began her legal career at Govett Quilliam in 2020, focusing on corporate, commercial, and trust law. After co-managing a law firm in Kerikeri and spending time overseas, she returned to New Zealand and rejoined GQ in January 2024.
Annie is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance legal practice and create efficiencies for clients. Beyond the office, she is an enthusiastic squash player and spearfisher and loves spending time outdoors, especially in and around the ocean. Originally from Wales and raised in the Bay of Islands, Annie brings a global perspective and a down-to-earth approach to her work.
Committed to giving back, Annie has been a longstanding volunteer lawyer and is a representative of the Citizens Advice Bureau. She was recently appointed as Board Member for Sport Taranaki, and she has previously served on the Committee of the Taranaki Young Professionals. Annie advises many of GQ’s charitable and not-for-profit organisations, bringing her passion for community service into her legal practice.
